Once again Mangalyaan is at the centre of attraction. This time around it is being talked about after the Time magazine called it as the best inventions of 2014.
According to this highly reputable international magazine with headquarters in America, this is something that will certainly allow India to flex its “interplanetary muscles.”
This is not for the first time that the Mars spacecraft, launched by Indian Space Research Organisation has grabbed international headlines. At the time when it was launched successfully a few months ago, the ISRO has received accolades from across the world with astronauts and NASA scientists praising it.
isro female scientistsMoreover, the EU had also good words to say with everybody congratulating ISRO and India for their milestone accomplishment.
Calling it “The Supersmart Spacecraft,” this is what Time said about Mangalyaan: “Nobody gets Mars right on the first try. The US didn’t, Russia didn’t, the Europeans didn’t. But on September 24, India did. That’s when the Mangalyaan …went into orbit around the Red Planet, a technological feat no other Asian nation has yet achieved.”
Moreover than managing the show so well, ISRO succeeded in running the project by spending very little compared to what the US and other countries have spent.
